This section gives you all the general information about your rights regarding your personal identifying information (“PII”) that you share with MyScript, how to contact us and what happens if we change this privacy policy.
If you choose to visit any of the MyScript websites (the “Sites”) and by using MyScript software products and services (“MyScript Products”), you will be agreeing to abide by all of the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy between you (“you” or “your”) and MyScript (“MyScript”, “us” or “we”). MyScript strives to continuously develop innovative services to better serve the users of our technology. We recognize that privacy is an important issue, so we design and operate our services with the protection of your privacy in mind. This Privacy Policy outlines the types of personal information we gather when you use MyScript services or otherwise visit the Site, as well as some of the steps we take to safeguard it. The following principles apply to the personal information we ask for and that you provide to identify yourself. This information includes your name, your physical address or your email address, and is further through this document referred to as “personal identifying information” or “PII”.

At any time you have the right to ask the port of your personal identifying information that you have provided us with. We will provide you this information in an electronic format. You are free to manage this file as you wish. All data portability requests should be sent to legal{'@'}myscript.com. It is advised that if you ever wish to delete a MyScript account that you port your personal identifying information and content beforehand.
You have the right to formalize a claim or complaint about how we treat your personal identifying information. The competent authority is the Commission Nationale des Informations et des Libertés (CNIL) and can be contacted through this link https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes/.
If you would like to make a request to access, copy, modify, or delete personal information on behalf of a deceased relative, please contact us at legal{'@'}myscript.com.
MyScript takes appropriate security measures to protect against unauthorized access to or unauthorized alteration, disclosure or destruction of data. MyScript restricts access to your personal identifying information to authorized personnel who need this information to operate, develop or improve our services.
We do not knowingly collect personal identifying information from children under the age of 16 and will delete all personal identifying information collected from a person under the age of 16 as soon as possible after becoming aware of it. You must be at least 16 years old to create a MyScript account. If you are under 16, do not attempt to register for a MyScript account. However, a parent or guardian may create a MyScript account on behalf of their child. We encourage them to review this Privacy Policy with you. By using this Site and any MyScript Products, you are representing to us that you are at least 16 years old or have the permission of a parent or guardian.
Please note this Privacy Policy may change from time to time. We expect most such changes to be minor, but there may be changes that are more significant. We will post those changes on this page and, if the changes are significant, we will also provide a more prominent notice or inform you by e-mail. Each version will be noted at the top of the page.

Umami helps us understand general trends in how visitors use our website — such as page views and device types — without compromising your privacy.
All data collected is anonymized and used solely for statistical purposes to improve our website and services.

If you choose to post on our developer forum your post and your name will be visible for all other forum visitors. Your posts will remain visible until you delete your account. At this moment your posts will automatically be deleted.

If you use any available cloud service, you will be given the choice to share your content with MyScript. MyScript cannot access your content if the sharing option is disabled. You may enable or disable this option at any time in the settings. If you enable the sharing option, we may use your content in order to develop, train and improve our algorithm, and conduct language-based research in accordance with our Legal Notice and Terms of Use. Only specifically authorized people within MyScript will have access to your content and we always hash the link between your account and your content. Your shared content is deleted from our servers either upon your request, or automatically when you delete your account. Disabling the sharing option does not delete your content from our servers. Once you delete your account, it can take up to 12 months for back-up copies to be overwritten.

You will need to create a MyScript account before being able to access MyScript Notes’ AI features. The AI features are powered by OpenAI. Your account information is not transferred to OpenAI. If you have access to AI features and decide to insert all or any part of your content into these AI features, you are also uploading and sharing this content with OpenAI. Your content will be treated in accordance with OpenAI’s data usage policies. Your content is not systematically shared with OpenAI, only the specific part of the content or page that you insert into the AI features. MyScript does not keep a record of any request or answer that is sent or received through the AI features. If you are unsatisfied with the result generated from the AI features you have the option to notify MyScript through an automatic notification window. This window will automatically generate a support ticket which will include the content on your page if you opted in to share with MyScript. The content of the support ticket will be treated in the same way as any other support ticket.
MyScript Notes for iOS and Android use Firebase and Google Analytics 4 for crash reporting and as an analytics tool (based in the USA).
The data collected by Firebase and Google Analytics 4 is directly related to your interaction with the Software such as settings preferences, gesture performed, use of user interface elements, the in-app purchases of the Software, and installation unique user identification (for crash reporting purposes). Information about the device you use may also be collected such as the device model, the language installed on the device, the version of your operating system, and the carrier whom you are with.

The data collected by App Center is directly related to your interaction with Nebo for Windows such as settings preferences, gestures performed, use of user interface elements. Information about the device you use may also be collected such as the device model, the language installed on the device, the version of your operating system, the carrier whom you are with and your location.

This section gives you all the information you need to know about how we collect and treat your personal identifying information (“PII”) if you are a user of MyScript apps’ cloud features. It notably describes how we protect your content.
What PII do we collect? | If you choose to use MyScript apps cloud features services as part of your MyScript account, content shared using this service will be stored on our third-party secured servers. We may run analytic reports to gather data such as size, creation date and number of pages on these files, however we will not access the contents unless you have accepted to share, as described above in the MyScript Notes sections. We may also store the names and e-mail addresses of your contacts in order to create a contact list that you may use within the cloud service but only if you opt in to this. |
How do we collect it? | The information concerning your contacts is collected through your account when you enter their name and e-mail address. |

You can provide us with extra non-obligatory personal identifying information such as your full name, your position in the Organization, your town and your country which we use to personalize your experience and for analytics purposes. |

What PII do we collect? | Name, email address and title of a limited number of people in your company such as the signatory, the accounts manager and the technology officer. |
How do we collect it? | Through the contract and through our technology portal. This personal identifying information may be directly provided by you or by your company. |
What do we use it for? | To ensure the legality of the contract and correctly manage the administration of the contract, contact you about the contract and/or the technology, in order to provide you with support, or manage invoicing and billing. If you are a commercial contact, you will also be contacted about our upcoming events and/or technology developments. |

What PII do we collect? | Your CV, your name, any contact details (email address, postal address and/or telephone number) that we need to process your application. |
How do we collect it? | We ask you to fill out a form on our website or send an email to MyScript Human Resources team with your CV attached. We also collect your personal identifying information when you apply for a job through an authorized third-party recruitment platform (notably Welcome to the Jungle and LinkedIn). We equally receive propositions from third party recruiters that we work with directly, but we never share your CV with these recruiters. |
What do we use it for? | Contacting you about job opportunities that could interest you or contacting you about a job that you have applied for. We will never contact you for any other reason. |

What PII do we collect? | We will list all the PII we collect during a research project in the accompanying research agreement. |
